METRONET New Midland Station

Project overview

This new station forms part of the METRONET New Midland programme in Australia. The line uses 25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification and 1067 mm Cape gauge. Public Transport Authority of Western Australia (PTA) is delivering the project, with Midland Junction Alliance (McConnell Dowell + Georgiou Group + Arcadis + BG&E) as main contractor. It opened in 2026, with an investment of AUD 247 m (~USD 162 m).
