Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (Kuraby – Beenleigh)

Project overview

This 20 km rail upgrade is under construction in Australia. The line uses 25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification, ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1067 mm Cape gauge. Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads are delivering the project, with ActivUs Alliance (CPB Contractors / UGL) as main contractor. Under construction since 2025, the line is scheduled to open in 2032, with an investment of AUD 5.8 bn (~USD 3.8 bn).
