Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Metro Phase 2

Project overview

This 28.3 km metro line is under construction in India. The line uses 25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) is delivering the project, with L&T, Afcons and Hitachi Rail STS as main contractors. Under construction since 2021, the line is scheduled to open in 2025, with an investment of INR 56.4 bn (~USD 680 m).
