Metroselskabet Calls €1.35bn Tenders for Copenhagen Metro Line M5 Phase 1

Denmark's metro authority Metroselskabet has called two tenders with a combined value of €1.35bn for construction of the first phase of Line M5 in Copenhagen. Prequalification for the main works began at the end of June 2026.

The tender structure divides Phase 1 construction into two contracts. Metroselskabet held a digital information meeting for potential tenderers in late June 2026, with the main works contract awards expected in late 2027.

The €1.35bn value encompasses the construction packages.
