This contract supplies new rolling stock for the Te Huia Hamilton–Auckland Passenger Rail Service programme in New Zealand. The fleet operates on diesel traction, ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1067 mm Cape gauge. Waikato Regional Council and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi are delivering the project, with KiwiRail (operator) as main contractor. It opened in 2021.
Construction began in 2019 and the project opened in 2021.
