Project overview
This 203 km rail upgrade is under construction in Nigeria. The line uses diesel traction and 1435 mm standard gauge. Federal Ministry of Transportation Nigeria is delivering the project, with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) as main contractor. Under construction since 2021, the line is scheduled to open in 2027, with an investment of USD 2.0 bn.
