Cairo Metro Line 4 Phase 1

Project overview

This 19 km metro line is under construction in Egypt. It comprises 17 stations. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) is delivering the project, with Orascom Construction, Mitsubishi Corporation and Colas Rail as main contractors. Under construction since 2020, the line is scheduled to open in 2027.
