This 24.4 km rail upgrade is under construction in Bulgaria. It comprises 160 km/h design speed. The line uses 25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification, ERTMS Level 1 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. NRIC (National Railway Infrastructure Company), Bulgaria is delivering the project, with Trans Logistika, Contratas Iglesias and Arcada Company as main contractors. Under construction since 2020, the line is scheduled to open in 2026, with an investment of EUR 194 m (~USD 213 m).
Construction began in 2020, with completion expected in 2026.
