This EUR 720 m (~USD 792 m) contract supplies new rolling stock for the BDZ Bulgaria Alstom Coradia Stream Interregional EMU Fleet (35 trains) programme in Bulgaria. The fleet operates on ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Ministry of Transport and Communications, Bulgaria are delivering the project, with Alstom and RVP Invest as main contractors. Target opening is 2028, with an investment of EUR 720 m (~USD 792 m).
Construction began in 2025, with completion expected in 2028.
