Project overview
This 78 km light rail line is in feasibility stage in Nigeria. The line uses 25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification and 1435 mm standard gauge. Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and Federal Ministry of Transportation Nigeria are delivering the project, with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) as main contractor. It opened in 2018, with an investment of USD 875 m.
