GYSEV / Raaberbahn, founded in 1872 and headquartered in Sopron, is a unique cross-border Hungarian-Austrian rail company acting as both railway undertaking and infrastructure manager on its lines either side of the border. Owned 72% by the Hungarian state and 28% by the Austrian state, it operates passenger and freight services across western Hungary and Burgenland.
