Mediterranean Corridor (Valencia–Alicante–Murcia–Almería) is a high speed rail project in Spain, currently under construction.
Mixed: some sections involve new high-speed alignment through mountains (greenfield tunnels like Sorbas 7.5km) while others are gauge conversion and capacity upgrades of existing lines (brownfield). The overall corridor is a complex mix of new-build and upgrade works.
Construction began in 2002, with completion expected in 2030.
The project has an estimated investment of €8.64B.
