Greenfield new corridor: entirely new high-speed line on new alignment through the mountains of Galicia and Castilla y León. Includes major tunnel sections (Pajares, Guadarrama on the connected Madrid-Valladolid section).
Construction began in 2004 and the project opened in 2021.
