This EUR 645 m (~USD 709 m) contract supplies new rolling stock for the ZSSK Škoda Intercity EMU Fleet (up to 15 units) programme in Slovakia. The fleet operates on ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. ZSSK (Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko) is delivering the project, with Škoda Group and ŽOS Trnava as main contractors.
