This 14.2 km airport rail link is under construction in Romania. It comprises 12 stations and 80 km/h design speed. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification and 1435 mm standard gauge. Metrorex SA is delivering the project, with Alsim Alarko, Gulermak and Somet SA as main contractors. Under construction since 2023, the line is scheduled to open in 2028, with an investment of EUR 1.6 bn (~USD 1.7 bn).
Construction began in 2023, with completion expected in 2028.
The project has an estimated investment of €1.56B.
