This EUR 610 m (~USD 671 m) contract supplies new rolling stock for the ARF Romania Pesa Regio160 Regional EMU Fleet (62 trains) programme in Romania. The fleet operates on ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. ARF (Autoritatea pentru Reformă Feroviară) is delivering the project, with Pesa as main contractor. Investment is EUR 610 m (~USD 671 m).
Construction began in 2024, with completion expected in 2027.
