This EUR 150 m (~USD 165 m) contract supplies new rolling stock for the ARF Romania Alstom Traxx MS3 Electric Locomotive Fleet (16 units) programme in Romania. The fleet operates on ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. ARF (Autoritatea pentru Reformă Feroviară) is delivering the project, with Alstom as main contractor. Under construction since 2024, the line is scheduled to open in 2026, with an investment of EUR 150 m (~USD 165 m).
