This 11.5 km tram line entered service in Qatar. It comprises 25 stations. The line uses 750 V DC battery-storage electrification and 1435 mm standard gauge. Qatar Foundation is delivering the project, with Siemens AG, Siemens WLL Qatar and Habtoor Leighton Group as main contractors. It opened in 2019, with an investment of USD 412 m.
Construction began in 2012 and the project opened in 2019.
The project has an estimated investment of $412M.
