Doha Metro Phase 1 (Red, Gold, Green Lines)

Project overview

This 76 km metro line entered service in Qatar. It comprises 37 stations. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Qatar Rail is delivering the project, with Salini Impregilo-SK Engineering-Galfar JV, QDVC-GS Engineering-Al Darwish JV and PORR-Saudi Bin Laden-HBK Contracting JV as main contractors. It opened in 2019, with an investment of USD 36.0 bn.
