This 7.5 km rail tunnel in Poland forms a critical section of the Łódź Cross-City Rail (Tunel Średnicowy) corridor. The line uses 3 kV DC overhead electrification, ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe (PKP PLK) is delivering the project. Under construction since 2019, the line is scheduled to open in 2027, with an investment of PLN 1.6 bn (~USD 390 m).
