This rail tunnel in Poland forms a critical section of the CPK Łódź HSR corridor. The line uses 25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification, ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) is delivering the project, with PORR AG as main contractor. Target opening is 2030, with an investment of PLN 2.2 bn (~USD 540 m).
Construction began in 2026, with completion expected in 2030.
The project has an estimated investment of PLN 2.20B.
