Project overview
This 25.7 km monorail line is under construction in Panama. It comprises 14 stations. The line uses 1500 V DC third rail electrification. Metro de Panamá SA is delivering the project, with HPH JV (Hyundai E&C, POSCO E&C, Hyundai Engineering), Hitachi Rail and Mitsubishi as main contractors. Under construction since 2021, the line is scheduled to open in 2028, with an investment of USD 4.0 bn.
