Project overview
This 4.4 km light rail line is under construction in Macau. It comprises 4 stations. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Macao Light Rapid Transit Corporation Ltd is delivering the project, with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (rolling stock) and China Railway Construction Corporation as main contractors. Under construction since 2021, the line is scheduled to open in 2026, with an investment of MOP 4.4 bn (~USD 550 m).
