This 66 km high-speed line entered service in Japan. It comprises 5 stations and 260 km/h design speed. The line uses national ATC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Japan Railway Construction, Transport and Technology Agency (JRTT) are delivering the project, with Kajima, Obayashi and Shimizu as main contractors. It opened in 2022, with an investment of JPY 620.0 bn (~USD 4.4 bn).
Construction began in 2008 and the project opened in 2022.
