Tung Chung Line Extension (Tung Chung West & East stations)

Project overview

This 1.3 km metro line is under construction in Hong Kong. It comprises 2 stations. The line uses 25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. MTR Corporation is delivering the project. Under construction since 2023, the line is scheduled to open in 2030, with an investment of HKD 18.7 bn (~USD 2.4 bn).
