Modernizing 20.5 km of infrastructure, this project introduces a new north-south tram axis and replaces aging metre-gauge fleets. Métropole Européenne de Lille is investing approximately €502 million to build 38 new stations and deploy Alstom Citadis trams adapted to metric gauge for the first time. The project aims to serve 60,000 daily passengers by 2034, with major sections opening in 2033.
Construction began in 2023, with completion expected in 2033.
