Running for 11.5 km across the Grenoble conurbation, this north-south line provides level access for passengers with impaired mobility. The final €290 million phase connected the city center to Fontanil-Cornillon and serves approximately 45,000 daily users. SMTC Grenoble inaugurated the full route in 2015, establishing the fifth line in the city's modern tram network.
Construction began in 2012 and the project opened in 2015.
The project has an estimated investment of €290M.
