This new station forms part of the Železniční uzel Brno (Brno Railway Node) programme in Czechia. The line uses dual-system electrification, ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Správa železnic is delivering the project. Indicative opening is 2035, with an investment of CZK 73.0 bn (~USD 1.7 bn).
Construction began in 2028, with completion expected in 2035.
