This new station forms part of the Česká Třebová Railway Junction Modernisation programme in Czechia. The line uses 25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification, ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Správa železnic is delivering the project, with STRABAG Rail (35.04%), Eurovia CZ and Chládek & Tintěra as main contractors. Under construction since 2025, the line is scheduled to open in 2032, with an investment of EUR 714 m (~USD 786 m).
Construction began in 2025, with completion expected in 2032.
