Project overview
This 44 km metro line entered service in China. It comprises 32 stations and 80 km/h design speed. The line uses 1500 V DC overhead electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Guangzhou Metro Corporation is delivering the project, with China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) and China Railway Engineering Group (CREC) as main contractors. It opened in 2024.
