This 28 km light rail line entered service in Brazil. The line uses 750 V DC overhead electrification and 1435 mm standard gauge. Prefeitura Rio and CCR VLT Rio are delivering the project, with CAF and Alstom (historical) as main contractors. It opened in 2016.
Construction began in 2014 and the project opened in 2016.
