This 1260 km rail upgrade is under construction in Burkina Faso. The line uses diesel traction and 1000 mm metre gauge. Sitarail (Africa Global Logistics — ex-Bolloré) is delivering the project, with Africa Global Logistics and Eiffage Rail as main contractors. Under construction since 2017, the line is scheduled to open in 2026, with an investment of EUR 262 m (~USD 285 m).
Construction began in 2017, with completion expected in 2026.
