Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) is delivering the project, with Tokyu Construction, Sumitomo Mitsui Construction and Larsen & Toubro as main contractors. Under construction since 2023, the line is scheduled to open in 2028, with an investment of USD 4.9 bn.
