This modernisation programme covers 13.4 km / 10 stations of the existing Yerevan Metro (opened 1981) in Armenia, comprising rolling stock, depot and track upgrades. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification and 1520 mm Russian gauge. Karen Demirchyan Yerevan Metro CJSC is delivering the project; the current phase is budgeted at approximately AMD 60 bn (~USD 159 m), targeting completion by 2028.

Construction began in 1981, with completion expected in 2028.

The project has an estimated investment of $350M.
