This 907 km rail upgrade entered service in Angola. The line uses diesel traction and 1067 mm Cape gauge. Caminho de Ferro de Moçâmedes (CFM-Angola); Angola Ministry of Transport is delivering the project, with China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) as main contractor. It opened in 2018, with an investment of USD 1.5 bn.

Construction began in 2009 and the project opened in 2018.
