This 75 km freight rail line entered service in Afghanistan. The line uses diesel traction and 1520 mm Russian gauge. Afghanistan Railway Authority and Uzbekistan Temir Yo'llari (operator) are delivering the project, with Uzbekistan Temir Yo'llari as main contractor. It opened in 2011, with an investment of USD 165 m.
