This 238 km freight rail line is under construction in United Arab Emirates. The line uses diesel traction, ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Hafeet Rail JV (Etihad Rail + Asyad Group + Mubadala Investment) is delivering the project, with Trojan Construction Group–Galfar Engineering–Tristar–NICC JV (civil) and Siemens Mobility–Hassan Allam Construction JV (systems+signalling) as main contractors. Under construction since 2024, the line is scheduled to open in 2028, with an investment of USD 2.5 bn.
Construction began in 2024, with completion expected in 2028.
