This 605 km freight rail line entered service in United Arab Emirates. It comprises 120 km/h design speed. The line uses diesel traction, ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Etihad Rail is delivering the project, with CCECC–Ghantoot JV (Package A), CRCC–NPC JV (Packages B+C) and Hitachi Rail STS (systems+integration) as main contractors. It opened in 2023.
