Abu Dhabi–Dubai High-Speed Rail Phase 1

Project overview

This 149 km high-speed line is under construction in United Arab Emirates. It comprises 5 stations and 350 km/h design speed. The line uses 1435 mm standard gauge. Etihad Rail Mobility is delivering the project, with NPC–Trojan Tunnelling–Kalyon–CSCEC JV (Abu Dhabi packages) and L&T–CHEC–Wade Adams JV (Dubai packages) as main contractors. Under construction since 2025, the line is scheduled to open in 2030, with an investment of USD 8.0 bn.
